π STEAM Ambassadors Programme
Level 2 β Maker
From curiosity to creativity.
Level 2 of the STEAM Ambassadors Programme is where learners (typically ages 9β11) grow from explorers into makers, turning ideas into tangible projects. At this stage, children begin to apply their knowledge, collaborate more actively, and design solutions with real impact.
π©βπ What Learners Do
- Engage in hands-on projects such as simple prototypes, experiments, and digital creations.
- Learn the basics of programming with Scratch and multimedia tools.
- Work collaboratively to solve challenges in engineering, sustainability, and design.
- Present their creations through storytelling, posters, or simple demonstrations.
π― Skills & Competences
- Creativity & Teamwork: learning to brainstorm, design, and co-create with peers.
- STEAM Knowledge: applying science concepts (energy, sound, light), mathematics (fractions, graphs), and engineering basics in projects.
- Digital Skills: creating and sharing simple outputs online (aligned with DigComp 2.2 & 2.3).
- Entrepreneurial Skills: developing ideas together, building resilience, and recognising how projects add value (EntreComp basics).
π Certification & Recognition
- Learners complete a challenge-based activity observed by evaluators.
- Assessment includes studentβevaluator interaction to validate learning.
- Graduates receive the Level 2 β Maker Certificate, accredited by the Cyprus Certification Company (CCC).
- This level builds the foundation for Level 3 β Innovator, where learners begin applying knowledge to authentic real-world problems.
β¨ In Level 2, children learn that making is more than building β it is about working together, solving problems, and turning ideas into reality.
