Level 3 – Innovator
Level 3 – Innovator
Turning knowledge into solutions.
At Level 3 – Innovator, learners (typically ages 11–13) move beyond making and begin applying their skills to authentic, real-world challenges. This stage focuses on developing critical thinking, independent contributions, and deeper problem-solving, preparing students to act as young innovators.
👩🚀 What Learners Do
- Work on authentic projects linked to community or global challenges (e.g., recycling, climate action, health awareness).
- Develop functional prototypes, digital campaigns, or science-based solutions.
- Learn intermediate coding, robotics with sensors, and data analysis.
- Document their process and outcomes in their e-portfolio.
🎯 Skills & Competences
- Critical Thinking & Planning: analysing problems, planning steps, and evaluating results.
- STEAM Integration: applying knowledge of forces, climate science, human biology, algebra, and probability to create solutions.
- Digital Skills: designing apps, analysing data, and producing interactive media (DigComp 2.1–2.3, 5.2).
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: showing initiative, mobilising resources, and working toward value creation (EntreComp intermediate).
🏆 Certification & Recognition
- Assessment includes an exam-style scenario, a challenge-based task, and a portfolio review.
- Learners are evaluated on originality, application, and project impact.
- Graduates receive the Level 3 – Innovator Certificate, accredited by the Cyprus Certification Company (CCC).
- This level bridges into Level 4 – Creator/Leader, where learners take on leadership and integration roles.
✨ In Level 3, students begin to see themselves as problem-solvers and changemakers, capable of designing solutions that matter to their communities and the world.
