STEMFREAK is an accredited STEAM School, Educational Innovation Centre, and Research & Development hub dedicated to transforming curiosity into competence and competence into recognised achievement. Since 2011, we have been at the forefront of linking education, industry, and society, designing programmes that inspire learners while delivering measurable real-world impact.
Our flagship initiative, the STEAM Ambassadors 5-Level Certification, provides a progressive, externally validated pathway for learners of all ages. Through authentic, challenge-based projects, participants build professional e-portfolios, gain micro-credentials aligned with EQF, DigComp, and EntreComp, and grow into innovators, leaders, and ambassadors of change.
Beyond education, STEMFREAK offers consulting services, specialised training courses, and R&D projects tailored to the needs of businesses, universities, and organisations. From designing interactive learning platforms and AI-powered educational tools to applying satellite data analysis for sustainability, we work with clients to co-create innovative solutions that respond to the demands of the digital and green transitions.
We also act as a nursery for innovation start-ups, supporting young entrepreneurs to transform ideas into viable ventures, while connecting with industry partners to co-develop projects and organise internship programmes that bridge skills with labour market needs.

Our History
STEMFREAK was founded in 2011 as a bold response to the global call for STEAM education. From the beginning, its purpose was to bridge industry, society, and academia through authentic learning that creates measurable impact.
Over the years, STEMFREAK has grown into an accredited STEAM School and Innovation Centre, pioneering the STEAM Ambassadors 5-Level Programme — an internationally validated certification framework that has been tested in real contexts with outstanding results. The programme has already produced start-ups led by STEAM Ambassadors, received awards in international competitions, and demonstrated its impact through learner e-portfolios, which include projects, reflections, and formal assessment outcomes.
STEMFREAK has also successfully attracted EU funding through multiple calls, allowing it to continuously enhance its micro-credentialing system, methodology, and digital platforms. With every iteration, the model evolves — aligning more closely with EU frameworks (DigComp, EntreComp, EQF) and integrating cutting-edge practices in neuroscience of learning, AI, and sustainability applications.
